Crab Shack Dabaso Receive Great Trip Advisor Reviews from KTB

Kenya Tourist Board: Magical Kenya's international media team from the USA, Canada, Uganda and Turkey give great reviews of the Crab Shack.

Watamu Marine Association hosted Kenya Tourist Board's media team from the States and beyond a few weeks ago, showcasing Watamu's eco activities and the great reviews are coming in.

Magical Kenya (KTB) introduced 8 international journalists to the eco delights that Watamu has to offer last month, which included dolphin watching, snorkelling in the Marine Park, visiting the new Watamu Recycling Centre and Crab Shack Dabaso.

The team had a whistle stop tour of Watamu while staying at the luxury apartments in Medina Palms.

Accompanying them was the tourism expert, award winning, supporter of Kenya tourism, Prof. Dr Wolfgang Thome who has been the the champion of Kenya for several decades and is supportive og Watamu on his blogs on E-Turbo and all social media

Another award winning journalist Charlotte Beauvoisin from Uganda wrote on Trip Advisor about her experiences at the Crab Shack, which she gave 5 stars "Great ecotourism project - a must-visit! Mida Creek can be visited as part of a sundowner cruise on a Dhow. Alternatively it is just a few minutes? drive from Watamu. We took the excellent Dabaso Conservation Group's boardwalk through the mangrove swamp and loved watching the Herons and Pied Kingfishers as we enjoyed the sundowners and fresh crab samosas. Other simple dishes (fresh fish or chicken) are also available at this relaxed and unpretentious setting. This short excursion is a lovely way to end the day / start the evening. This area is well known for its birding - apparently you can see 7 endemic species nearby - I will definitely be revisiting!" Visited November 2015
