The Crab Shack Dabaso our favorite hangout for sunset drinks and fresh seafood run by Dabaso Conservation Community is now reviewed on Trip Advisor
We are thrilled to see Crab Shack Dabaso doing so well on TripAdvisor - and hope that some of their success is because of Watamu Marine Association promotions. See this great review
"As a Kenyan, I have to say that this was a very great visit for me.
To see the local youth come together and create possibly one of the best hidden gems in Watamu. It is run by the locals: basically you get to the mangrove forest, and walk on the bridge that the local youth have built, to a make - shift restaurant that overlooks Mida Creek. Here they serve you fresh oysters on a bed of ice and lime, Prawns, calamari, crab samosas and soft drinks.
Local food is by far better than any 5 star fancy food... it is done so well.. cant wait to go back.
Before you sit for your meal you can go on a canoe ride and watch the sun set.. absolutely amazing effort for the youth
No alcohol is served here but you can bring your own.
I would suggest a visit here not only as a beautiful spot for a sun downer but also as a fantastic way to support the hard working youth of Watamu/Mida"
