24th September 2015 saw one of the major celebrations for Watamu Marine Association since we started in 2007. The launch of our Community Waste Recycling Centre.
The Watamu Community Recycling Centre is much more than recycling waste, and much more than a business. It is also an example of alternative technologies and green energy enterprises, including permaculture and biogas production. It is a showcase for great marine debris art installations. It is a place YOU will want to visit. Supported by Kilifi County Government, Kenya Wildlife Service, and business members of the Watamu and Malindi community.
